I had a very warm welcoming start, all was setup when I arrived, there weren't any major delays in the onboarding, the team was eager to take in help from a newcomer to drive me through the processes and culture of the company. I've been extremely happy to join elastic.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone is open to answer to queries and if they don't know answers or cannot help they point where can you find help. The documentation is specially helpful to unblock people remotely.
What makes you most happy at work?
Challenges coming in building the new serverless solution. The tech expertise required to build complex systems is something I enjoy in my professional life, I see a lot of opportunities to contribute my expertise and learn a lot from my colleagues during the journey.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Clear to the point communication. Happy to share information and to spend time conveying a sense of security in the face of issues. Good energy in view to the future of elastic. Understanding of the market trends and how to react accordingly.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone is super welcoming, people is open and there is a culture of collaboration, healthy discussions around issues. People is open to help explain and dedicate enough time to help understand the complexities of the job based on their experience, this is specially helpful for a newcomer.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I think the salary + RSU option is a good value for the position. Perks such as an optional office, lunch, transportation. Home office setup gives some peace of mind when onboarding into a new position. I specially loved the elastic camp and box with swag and other nice stuff.
