I joined CA while enrolled in a programmer bootcamp with the intent of buying some time until I was ready to hunt for my "real" job. It was quickly apparent that CA was a place I wanted to stay. I was able to stay at CA, transition careers, and I have never been more professionally fulfilled!
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
An infectious feeling that we're all working towards something worthwhile. People are excited to do their work, as well as make sure I can do my work, and vice-versa.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Folks are flexible about plans, and open to adjusting course if it seems necessary. People are always open and generous with their feedback and gratitude. Everyone seems motivated to create quality work!
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I appreciate that communication feels frank, honest, and immediate. Problems aren't sugar-coated and gratitude is shared regularly. When there's a little extra $ in the coffers it feels like we're kept in mind for a piece.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
It's a small thing, but a family member needed therapy and we were having a lot of trouble finding a good therapist who wasn't booked out for months. The new Modern Health benefit got a quality therapist quickly, and has been a wonderful help.
What makes you most happy at work?
A big variety in the kind of work I get to do. My biggest work goal is to never be bored, and we get to work on so many different things it's to imagine that happening. When I've felt I've had my fill of a team's effort after a couple of years, I was able to change teams which was very refreshing!
