Salary first, but amount of vacation is also nice.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team is engaged, honest, easy to discuss and brainstorm with. A wonderful can-do attitude.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The leadership team seems approachable. I genuinely feel I could express frustrations and new ideas to them.
What makes you most happy at work?
As a journalist, I'm most excited when we create content our audience engages with enthusiastically. This is doubly satisfying because that engagement is wonderful from a business perspective, but I am also proud to know we're serving our readership well.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The company prioritized safety. My team and managers treat me with great respect and expect me to perform well, but are also flexible. I'm expected to do an excellent job, but no one would be upset if I were ill, or would resent my needing a break or vacation. I appreciate that balance.
