JOHNLEONARD is a woman-owned employment agency based in Boston, MA. We provide Direct Hire, Temporary/Contract, Temp to Hire, Conventions, Payroll, as well as other staffing solutions as part of our comprehensive suite of service offerings. The organizations we work with range from high powered law firms to small solely owned businesses across all industries. The same goes for the candidates we represent. Their experience ranges from recent graduates to professionals with 30+ years of experience and everything in between, with all levels of skills and diverse backgrounds.

Linda J. Poldoian is the owner of JOHNLEONARD Employment Services, Inc., the industry leader in providing Direct Hire Placement, Temporary/Contract Staffing, Temporary to Direct Hire Employment, Payroll Service, and Outplacement Service to the business community. She began her career at JOHNLEONARD in 1973. Her primary responsibility was to build the business. Originally a Direct Hire employment agency, Linda expanded JOHNLEONARD into the Temporary Help industry in 1974. She became a Partner in 1978, assuming the roles of Vice President and Director of Training. In 1981, Linda became sole owner/President and today is CEO of JOHNLEONARD. Linda is recognized in Marquis Who’s Who of American Women. She retains her Real Estate Broker’s License and is a Condominium Association Trustee of multiple properties. She is a Board of Director of both IBC Marina Association and Black Island Master Association. She is also a former Northeastern University National Council Director-At-Large. Linda graduated from Northeastern University with a BS degree in Education. Fun Fact: In 2019 JOHNLEONARD celebrated 50 years and I celebrated 50 years as an "original" Woodstock hippie.

Derek was appointed COO in 2007 and President in 2012 and is responsible for driving the strategic goals of the organization by providing clients, organizations and candidates alike with the best experience possible. Additionally, Derek is focused on identifying new opportunities to further broaden the scope of JOHNLEONARD's impact on the business community. Since joining JOHNLEONARD in 1994, Derek has served in a variety of management positions across the organization including Vice President of Sales with responsibility for both Direct Hire and Temporary Divisions. Prior to joining JOHNLEONARD, Derek held Human Resource Management roles within a number of US based technology companies in Ireland and one of the world’s largest vertically integrated food companies based in the Middle East. Derek received both a BA degree in Economics & Sociology and Masters in Human Resources from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. Derek is a member of staffing professional associations and participates in numerous business executive networking groups. He sits on the Board of YMCA Training & Education Branch and is Chair of the branch Strategic Planning Committee.
