Overall happy with my experience. This is the only startup I've been a part of that has invested this much in HR and establishing a culture and it shows. Biggest con really is around the CEO, he clearly cares more about his other startup. Other leadership seems invested in us, which I appreciate.
What makes you most happy at work?
An inclusive culture and an overall great group of coworkers who make things fun even when we're dealing with issues.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Unlimited leave, parental leave, fertility benefits, wellness benefits, work anniversary gifts, fun virtual offsites. This company has invested in employee wellbeing and company culture, and I appreciate that.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
For the most part, the leadership team, outside of our CEO, seems to be invested in our company's growth and efforts have been made to hire people who can take us to the next level.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Our leadership isn't trying to point fingers and throw people under the bus. I've been at companies where everyone is trying to find a scapegoat. I know that when I've made a mistake, I can learn and improve and not be constantly chastised for it.
What did you like most about the interview process?
Appreciated the "Lobster Qualities" interview component. Knowing someone will vibe well with a team and overall company values tends to be the biggest deal for me once it's clear that someone meets the baseline of competency for job. I'm glad we take that very seriously.
