It depends on the store. They're all franchised, so interview processes vary.
My coworkers suffer alongside me. We're in the trenches together, holding each other up better than any pushy motivational email from corporate.
Most stores offer minimum wage and no benefits, even in emergency situations. Pretty messed up for "essential personnel" to be treated so poorly. A "hero clap" isn't worth exposure to a dangerous virus, Tim Davis. However, benefits and a living wage would certainty help.
The leadership team is forcing stores to stay open without a single thought of the lives of employees. There's alot of talk about maintaining six foot distances, but that's pretty difficult when Amazon customers MUST breach that gap for their phones to be scanned. Money is prioritized here.
UPS store are convinced Amazon is the savior of the company, but in the process are destroying the "small business" draw. Employees are underappreciated and unhappy. Corporate needs to just decide if this is a small business or a corporation. The employees are suffering because of their negligence
I honestly have nothing positive to say about the company. Corporate constantly micromanage despite pushing the "small business" lie. The customers are unruly and ungrateful for the most part. Look up any UPS Store. Rarely one of them has above a 3.5 rating. It's incredibly fast paced. Difficult job
