Having been with the company from the beginning I have had many different experiences over the years. Overall the experience is no doubt a good one! Being able to see the company grow from a handful of people to where we are today is a unique experience.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
There are too many things to be listed here but "growth budget" comes to mind. Having a budget to spend on my growth is excellent, from being able to pay for courses/conferences all the way to buying books.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Courageous honesty has to be the most positive aspect of our culture from my point of view. Supporting people to speak their mind and challenge the status quo has a huge impact on the environment we work in.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
That I can trust them to make the right decisions. As someone who has been with the company from the beginning, I have seen them taking us out of tough spots but I have also seen them celebrate success with us.
What makes you most happy at work?
Having my team and a whiteboard around. Being able to quickly take decisions feels empowering. I also enjoy the fact that Zappi is a diverse crowd, being able to interact with people from all over the world and all walks of life gives me great joy
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team has a good composition of experienced and junior developers. We are not dogmatic, people can have strong opinions or change their opinions as new information arrives. Everyone is happy to help at all times, I never felt alone or scared to take a decision.
