That long commute we love to complain about is, for many of us, not actually that long.
Fifty-six percent of people say they are commuting 30 minutes or less to work each day, according to the latest reading of an ongoing query by Comparably. The next most popular response was “30-45 minutes” (20%), followed by “45-60 minutes” (13%) and “more than an hour” (11%).
Cities with the longest commutes
The cities that have the greatest concentration of people with long commutes (45 minutes or more) are New York (33%), Boston (31%), Chicago (30%), Houston (29%), and Washington, D.C. (29%).

The shortest commute
The city with the shortest commutes (15 minutes or less) is Denver (38%).
