Employees at Facebook‘s Menlo Park campus are outspoken about how much they hate their commutes. But they’re not the only ones suffering.
Nearly half of workers have a 30-minute+ commute
Forty-four percent of workers say their commute is at least 30 minutes long, according to the latest reading of an ongoing query by Comparably. The data comes from the responses of more than 10,000 workers across the technology industry.

Fifty-six percent of workers have commutes less than 30 minutes.
Cities with the longest commutes
Workers in New York City and San Francisco reported the longest commutes, with 56% and 51% of workers, respectively, commuting 30 minutes or more to work.

Cities with the shortest commutes
Denver and Phoenix are the cities where workers have the shortest commutes (70% and 68%, respectively, have commutes no longer than 30 minutes.)
