Companies Supporting Employees with Disabilities

With over 61 million adults in the United States living with a disability, forward-thinking companies are recognizing that inclusive hiring isn’t just the right thing to do—it’s smart business. Organizations that prioritize accessibility are tapping into exceptional talent while building stronger, more innovative teams.

Leading employers are moving beyond basic compliance to create environments where employees with disabilities truly thrive. From implementing assistive technologies and flexible work arrangements to redesigning hiring practices, these companies are proving that accessibility benefits everyone.

The results are clear: organizations with strong disability inclusion practices report higher employee satisfaction, increased innovation, and improved financial performance. The following companies are setting new standards for workplace inclusion, demonstrating what’s possible when barriers are removed and every employee is empowered to succeed.

At GE Vernova, we are committed to creating an inclusive, barrier-free environment for employees with disabilities. Our Disabilities Advocacy Network (DAN) plays a crucial role in this mission by providing support and resources that enable individuals with disabilities, their families, and allies to connect and thrive. DAN fosters a sense of inclusion through events, education, and advocacy efforts. In 2023, DAN focused on increasing membership, expanding regional hub presence, and improving our Disability Equality Index score. We have also designed an Accessibility Standard that exceeds local requirements, positioning GE Vernova as a leader in accessibility. Through these initiatives, we ensure that employees with disabilities have equal opportunities to contribute and succeed within our organization.
