More than 1,500 Design employees working in Tech were surveyed to find how their compensation was segmented based on their Gender, Job Title, Ethnicity, and City. The results showed that female Designers made 12 percent more than male designers. However, male Art Directors made 23 percent more than female.
In terms of Ethnicity, Asian or Pacific Islanders had the highest compensation at $111,718, while African Americans had the lowest at $85,078. Designers in San Francisco made the most at $134,495 in comparison to Designers in Denver who made the least at $85,555.
