We’ve broken out the compensation (average base + bonus) of Developers, Senior Developers, & Directors of Engineering in 5 major tech hubs across the US: San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Austin & Denver. Furthermore, we show the compensation based on companies sized: 11-50, 51-200, and 201-1000 employees. For each survey we have a sample set of over 1000 employees/salaries.
Across the board the highest engineering/developer salaries are in San Francisco, with salaries typically 25-30% higher than Denver & Austin.
