There’s a lot going on already in 2022, as if the headlines weren’t screaming this at us 24/7. Here are a few good things to talk about; three exciting companies with new, good ideas in place for 2022. We could certainly use them.
What are some of the newest business ideas you are going to implement in 2022?
At Nextiva, we’re pioneers of technology that helps businesses understand and know customers in real-time. We’re bringing forward the next round of our product innovation, Nextiva Connect, to help put an end to unhappy customers and frustrated teams. This is a single application that empowers everyone in an organization to get their work done, where teammates can collaborate together and communicate with customers, all in one place. The customer management tools we’re bringing to market help businesses create amazing and predictable experiences by automating customer interactions and management and getting rid of the mundane, manual steps so businesses never miss a customer interaction.

Nextiva has always been about building the next generation of technology for people who strive to improve the world around them. The best technology is still inaccessible to most businesses — it’s either too expensive, too difficult to use, or requires more skilled resources than most businesses have. By introducing technology that brings together all communication types and combines communication with simple customer management tools, we’re making a difference, especially for the 99.7% of businesses that have less than 500 people, helping level the playing field by making technology accessible, affordable, and available to every business.

Chegg is a leading student-first connected learning platform and in 2022 we will continue to invest in future growth initiatives. The three main areas of focus for us are; enhancing our platform to deliver a personalized learning experience (which we call Learn with Chegg), investing in our international expansion – students around the world can access our enormous library of content, and third, investing in our skills business by offering more courses through partnerships and through direct channels. Learn with Chegg has already dramatically increased student engagement, as we’ve expanded and improved the discoverability and quality of our content, the subjects we cover, and further personalize the user experience to make Chegg even better and more valuable for learners.

Last June we launched Uversity, a platform for educators and faculty to share their educational content with millions of learners on Chegg to help support their studies and enhance learner outcomes. Since Uversity launched, faculty from over 1,300 schools have uploaded almost 80,000 pieces of learning material including study guides, lecture notes, and quizzes. The response to Uversity has been so positive that we expect to double the amount of learning material created by professors on our platform by the time we roll it out to students in the fall. In 2022, Chegg will continue to build relationships with faculty at the most prestigious institutions around the world. In addition, we have just added new tools to allow faculty to create and upload video content to meet the growing demand from students. The challenges of the last few years have had a dramatic impact on all, particularly students, and Chegg is proud to be helping students learn in school and beyond – their entire journey.

NetCentrics has always been technology-centric and forward with our focus. This year, we’re taking a page from history – wayyy back history – to The Senate. Think…Rome, Caesar, Gladiators. The Senate was the trusted Advisory Council. We’re tapping leaders across the company, at all experience levels, to collaborate on new projects and initiatives that will enrich those we serve.2
What would you like to see your company achieve by the end of 2022?
The leaders of The Senate will develop internal projects that support our customers beyond our core services. We expect 1-2 of these projects to turn into new and improved ways to serve all our customers. While experimenting with emerging technology, we also see these internal collaborations as a way to bring fresh perspectives to the forefront.
