It doesn’t matter how old you are — in the workplace, it’s likely that you’ll have more loyalty to your coworkers than anyone else, even your boss and direct reports.
Indeed, when asked to rate who they felt most loyal to at work, 37% of people said their coworkers, making it the No. 1 answer. Twenty-four percent of people said their boss, and only 13% of people said their company’s mission or vision.
The results come from the latest reading of an ongoing query by Comparably of more than 1,000 people employed in the technology industry.

Workers in all departments — from engineering to product to legal — ranked coworkers as their number one answer; that is, except for workers in administrative roles, who ranked bosses and managers just as high as coworkers.
Men and women feel the same
Men and women produced nearly identical results across the board.
