Which Workers Have the Most Company Pride?

Workers in executive roles, business development and HR tend to be most positive about where they work, according to the latest reading of an ongoing query by Comparably. More than 1,000 workers across the technology industry responded to the query.

Eighty-eight percent of workers in the executive department, 86% of workers in business development, and 78% of workers in HR say they are proud to be a part of their companies. Workers in legal, design, customer support, and IT felt this way least, with fewer than 70% responding affirmatively.

Top-level view

Overall, 74% of workers in technology say they are proud of where they work. The breakdown was 76% of men and 71% of women.

The rates were similar for workers outside of the technology industry (73% men/76% women).

Pride increases with age

Workers younger than 25 were least likely to report feeling proud to work at their companies (67%), while workers 56 to 60 were most likely to report feeling proud to work at their companies (87%).

Similarly, workers in entry-level positions registered on the low end of feeling pride in their companies (60%), while workers with more experience registered higher levels of feeling that way (people with 3 to 6 years’ experience were at the peak, with 78% of them saying they are proud to work where they work.)
