Executive Bio

Ms. Amy H. Gales has been Executive Vice President of Regional Agribusiness Banking at Cobank Acb since October 2008. Ms. Gales is responsible for the bank's U.S. agricultural cooperative customers and institutional lending relationships with Agricultural Credit Associations. Ms. Gales oversees the delivery of credit and other financial services to these customers and continues to focus on strengthening CoBank's business relationships with the Farm Credit System. She served as Central Region President of Regional Agribusiness Banking Group at Cobank Acb. She served as Regional President of Regional Agribusiness Banking Group at Cobank Acb. She served as Regional President of Commercial Agribusiness Division at Cobank Acb. She was responsible for managing the agribusiness lending operations of CoBank's Central Region, which includes the Minneapolis, Omaha and Fargo banking centers. She served as Central Region President of Cobank Acb since October 2008. She joined CoBank in July 2007 as Regional Vice President in the Minneapolis office. Ms. Gales has more than 25 years of financial and agribusiness experience. She began her career in 1981 with the former St. Paul Bank for Cooperatives, working directly with local cooperative customers over a 17-year period in a variety of different positions. Subsequently she served as the manager of a grain and farm supply co-op in southern Minnesota and as executive director of an agricultural development center in South Dakota. She returned to banking in 2002, worked in leadership posts at both Commerce Bank and Wells Fargo. Ms. Gales earned a bachelor's degree in business with a finance emphasis from the University of Minnesota.
