Gary Miller — Executive VP & COO at A. Schulman

Mr. Gary A. Miller has been the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of A. Schulman, Inc. since August 22, 2016. Mr. Miller served as Chief Procurement Officer and Executive Vice President of Global Supply Chain at A. Schulman, Inc. since April 3, 2008 until August 22, 2016. Mr. Miller oversees A. Schulman, Inc.'s supply chain and procurement activities to better leverage its worldwide purchasing power, reduce materials inventories, eliminate waste and improve efficiency. He has more than 35 years of experience with Goodyear, including responsibility for its global purchasing activities for the past 16 years. Mr. Miller served as Chief Procurement Officer of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company from May 2003 to September 17, 2007 and as its Vice President of Purchasing from November 1, 1992 to September 17, 2007. Since September 1999, he served as President of Goodyear-SRI Global Purchasing Company (GSGPC) and also served as its Vice President and Officer. Previously, he served as General Manager of specialty tires for two years. Mr. Miller joined Goodyear in 1965 as a Member of the co-op program. He started his career a Chemical Product Sales Trainee at Goodyear. Two months later, he served as a Sales Engineer in the Chemical Division of Goodyear. Since 1978, he served as Marketing Manager of Goodyear and Business Manager a year later. He served as Manager, Chemical Research and Development Planning of Goodyear since 1983 and Manager, Corporate Research and Development Projects since 1984. A year later, he served as Director, films development worldwide. From 1986 to 1989, he served as a Purchasing Agent of Goodyear before becoming director, tire value and competitive analysis. Mr. Miller served in specialty tires position of Goodyear a year and a half later. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering in 1969 from the University of Cincinnati. .
