Mr. Daryl Dekarske has been Global Head of Regulatory Affairs and Senior Vice President at ACADIA Pharmaceuticals Inc. since February 2017. Mr. Dekarske has been with ACADIA since February 2017. He has more than 20 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Mr. DeKarske comes to ACADIA from Shire plc, where he served as Vice President and Global Regulatory Therapeutic Area Head of Neurology, Ophthalmology and Oncology Products and led the global regulatory strategy in diverse therapeutic areas of drug and biologic development. Mr. DeKarske's previous roles at Shire also include serving as Vice President and Global Regulatory Therapeutic Area Head of Renal-Fibrosis, Ophthalmology and Hematology-Oncology Products as well as Therapeutic Area Head for ADHD/CNS Products. Earlier in his career, he held regulatory positions at Sanofi-Aventis S.A. and Pharmacia Corp and conducted clinical and nonclinical research for SmithKline Beecham Corporation and Park-Davis and Company, respectively. Mr. DeKarske earned his B.S. in Microbiology and Master in Public Health in Toxicology from the University of Michigan.
