Ms. Amy L. Banse, J.D. has been Managing Director and Head of Funds at Comcast Ventures since 2011 and served as its Partner. Ms. Banse serves as the Senior Vice President of Comcast Corporation. She has deep experience in media, digital media, technology and telecommunications. She has over 20 years of experience investing in, starting and building companies at Comcast. She joined Comcast in 1991 as an in-house attorney, responsible for programming acquisition and served as its Executive Vice President of Content Development since January 2005, where she oversaw its investments in and the development of cable networks including E!, Style Network, The Golf Channel, VERSUS, G4, PBS KIDS Sprout, TV One and regional sports networks. She has an extensive track record of driving growth and delivering profits. Ms. Banse served as the President of Comcast Interactive Media, LLC since December 12, 2005, which she founded in 2005. Ms. Banse led Comcast's online strategy over six years, oversaw the acquisition of Fandango, Daily Candy, Plaxo and thePlatform. She also oversaw the in-house development and management of Comcast.net, Xfinity.com and Xfinitytv.com (Comcast's portals), Fancast and Swirl. In this role, she grew CIM into a 800-person team with significant digital capabilities and played a key part in the industry's development of its TV Everywhere strategy and in Comcast's execution of that strategy. She served as Executive Vice President of Programming Investments Division at Comcast Holdings Corp. She served as Executive Vice President at Comcast Cable Communications, LLC since January 2005. She served as Executive Vice President of Programming Investments Division at Comcast Corporation from January 22, 2003 to January 2005. She served as Senior Vice President of Content Development at Comcast Corporation since January 2005. Earlier in her career, she was an Associate at Drinker, Biddle & Reath LLP. She has been an Independent Director of The Clorox Company since September 15, 2016. Ms. Banse has been a Director of Adobe Systems Incorporated since May 14, 2012 and also serves as Managing Director. She serves as a Director at Quantifind, Inc., and Adobe Systems Software Ireland Limited. She serves as Head of Funds for Comcast Ventures & Senior VP of Comcast Corporation. She had been a Member of Advisory Board at Plum District, Inc. since 2011. She is the Secretary of the Board of Trustees for Women in Cable and elecommunications (WICT), and also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Children's Scholarship Fund Philadelphia and on the Board of Trustees of the Morris Arboretum. She serves on the Board of Springside School for Girls. Ms. Banse represented Comcast as a featured speaker in venues around the country discussing the rapid evolution of content consumption in a digital world and the opportunities and challenges facing the cable and entertainment industries. In 2007, she received ???The Distinguished Alumni Award??? from Springside School and in 2006 honored by Girls, Inc. as an outstanding role model for girls. She was honored as a ???Wonder Woman??? by Multichannel News and Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) in 2004, received WICT's Geraldine B. Laybourne Fearless Award in 2009 and ProMax's Brand Builder Award in 2010. Ms. Banse holds a JD from Temple University Law School in 1987 and a BA from Harvard University in 1982.
