Bernerd Da Santos — Senior Vice President & COO at AES Corporation

Bernerd Da Santos has been Chief Operating Officer of AES Corporation since January 2015. He has experience in international corporate finance and business transformation for generation, transmission and distribution companies in the United States, Latin America, Africa, Europe and Asia to his role as COO. Most recently, he served as CFO for AES??? Global Finance Operations. Mr. Da Santos serves as Director of Indianapolis Power & Light Co. He was previously CFO for the Utilities group and for the Latin America and Africa group. He joined AES through its acquisition of La Electricidad de Caracas (EDC). He is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Universidad Jos??? Maria Vargas with Bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Public Administration, Business Management and Finance, and an MBA. He also completed the Advanced Program at Instituto de Estudios Superiores y de Administraci???n (IESA) in Caracas. He is a Member of the Boards of AES Brasiliana, AES Tiet???, AES Eletropaulo, AES Gener and Indianapolis Power and Light. He also serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of privately held AES companies.
