Mr. Jay C. Horgen is the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at Affiliated Managers Group Inc. since May 2011. Mr. Horgen served as an Executive Vice President in charge of New Investments efforts at the firm since March 6, 2007 until May 2011. He Founded Eastside Partners and served as its Managing Director. Mr. Horgen served as a Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group at Merrill Lynch & Co. From 1993 to 2000, he was an Investment Banker in the Financial Institutions Group at Goldman, Sachs & Co. In his twelve years of investment banking experience, Mr. Horgen participated in over 125 transactions for small-to-mid-market private and public companies, including over 45 sale transactions and over 30 initial public offerings or add-on equity offerings. He developed an expertise in identifying, mentoring and advising high quality fast-growing private companies. In recent years, Mr. Horgen led transactions for Calamos Investments, Gabelli Asset Management, Neuberger Berman, Boston Private and Bank of New York. He serves as a Member of the Advisory Board of Hirtle, Callaghan, & Co. Mr. Horgen was a Director of Torch Technologies, Inc. since October 2005. He received a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from Yale University.
