Russell A. Flugel — VP, Corporate Controller & Principal Accounting Officer at Air Products and Chemicals

Mr. Russell A. Flugel, also known as Russ, has been the Vice President and Principal Accounting Officer at Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. since May 28, 2015 and has been its Corporate Controller since 2014. Mr. Flugel joined Air Products in 1998, working in a variety of financial analyst roles. In 2000, he became controller, Amines and Polyurethane Intermediates and in 2005, was appointed manager, Financial Planning and Analysis, Treasury. From 2006 to 2011, Mr. Flugel served as controller for Merchant Gases, the company's largest reporting segment at the time, with business decision support responsibility in North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America and significant equity affiliates around the world. In 2011, Mr. Flugel was appointed director, Corporate Decision Support, Technical Accounting and Consolidations and in 2013, was named director, Accounting and Corporate Decision Support. Mr. Flugel holds a B.S. degree in chemical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Purdue University.
