John R. Sabat — Senior Vice President of National Accounts and Trade Relations at Akorn

Mr. John R. Sabat has been Senior Vice President of National Accounts and Trade Relations at Akorn, Inc. since June 2009. Previously, Mr. Sabat served as a Senior Vice President Sales, Marketing & National Accounts for Akorn Inc. Mr. Sabat served as Senior Vice President of National Accounts at Akorn Inc. since October 2004 and responsibilities included Hospital Group Purchasing Organizations, Pharmaceutical Wholesalers, Ophthalmic and Injectable Distributors, the Federal Government, and International customers. Mr. Sabat joined Akorn Inc. in June 2003 as Vice President of National Accounts. Prior to joining Akorn Inc., he served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing with Major Pharmaceuticals, a division of Major/Apotex Inc., a manufacturer and worldwide distributor of proprietary, multi-source prescription and over-the-counter pharmaceuticals. Mr. Sabat held Senior Sales and Marketing positions with IVAX(formerly Goldline), Baxter (formerly Ascot), International Medication Systems, Limited (now IMS-Amphastar) and Rexall-Sundown. He has a career encompassing over 32 years in the Pharmaceutical industry.
