Jianfeng Zhang — Chief Technology Officer at Alibaba Group Holding Limited

Mr. Jianfeng Zhang, also known as Jeff, has been the Chief Technology Officer at Alibaba Group Holding Limited since April 2016 and President of Enabling Platform Business Unit since December 2015. Mr. Zhang has been the Chief Technology Officer at Alibaba Cloud since January 2017. Mr. Zhang served as President of Middle Office Business Unit at Alibaba Group Holding Limited since December 2015 until April 2016. He served as President of China Retail Marketplaces at Alibaba Group Holding Limited since May 2015 until April 2016. He served as Head of Marketplace Websites at Alibaba Group Holding Limited. He served as President of Taobao Marketplace at Alibaba Group Holding Limited. He served as Vice President of Alibaba Group Holding Limited since January 2013. He has held various management positions within Alibaba Group since he joined it in July 2004, including heading the technical infrastructure team, the B2C development team and the product technology development team of Taobao at different times from 2005 to 2010. He was promoted to Vice President of product technology at Taobao in January 2010 and took on the additional role of Vice President of Taobao operations from June 2011 to March 2012, responsible for product and technology development of the consumer marketplace. In March 2012, he moved to Alibaba.com and served as Vice President of website and technology of its China operations from March 2012 to January 2013. From January 2013 to February 2014, he oversaw Juhuasuan, local services, 1688.com and Tmall.com. Mr. Zhang received his bachelor's degree in computer science from Zhejiang University.
