James Sampel — Chief Information Officer at Alico Inc.

Mr. James E. Sampel has been Chief Information Officer of Alico, Inc. since December 31, 2015. Prior to joining Alico, Mr. Sampel served as Managing Director, Global Chief Technology Officer, Managing Director of Global Operations, Chief Information Officer and Vice President at Greenwich Associates, LLC. He set the strategic technology vision for Greenwich Associates while developing the strategic direction and efficient management of all aspects of the Firm's global data collection, reporting and internal operations. Before to joining Greenwich Associates in 2004, he was head of the 454 Life Sciences IT team and worked for 15 years with the Perkin Elmer/Applera Corporation included: manager of global infrastructure, senior network architect, senior systems analyst, software support supervisor and field service engineer. His work with these science and biotech firms included software and firmware engineering, information technology, acquisition and divestitures, operational retooling and the genome project. Mr. Sampel holds a BS in electronics engineering from DeVry University, Texas and an MBA in Information Technology from Pace University.
