Robert J. Adams — CFO & Senior VP at Allete

Mr. Robert J. Adams, also known as Bob, has been the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of ALLETE, Inc. since March 4, 2017. Mr. Adams served as Senior Vice President of Energy Centric Business and Chief Risk Officer at ALLETE, Inc. since January 13, 2016 until March 4, 2017 and May 13, 2008 until March 4, 2017 respectively. Mr. Adams served as a Vice President of Energy Centric Business at ALLETE, Inc. since June 23, 2014 until January 13, 2016. Mr. Adams served as Vice President of Utility Business Development at ALLETE Inc. since February 1, 2004 and also served as its Vice President of Business Development since May 13, 2008 until June 23, 2014. He served as the Chief Financial Officer and President and Chief Executive Officer of Minnesota Power's Reach All subsidiary. In 1997, he became Director of Finance for Minnesota Power and was later named Vice President of Finance and Business Development. He has served on a multitude of boards including the Leech Lake Watershed Foundation and Lakeshore Assisted Living. He earned a bachelor's accounting degree and a Masters of Business Administration with finance concentration from the University of Minnesota Duluth. He also is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
