Richard Atkin — President of Hospital Systems Group at Allscripts Healthcare Solutions

Mr. Richard Atkin is an Operating Principal at Vista Equity Partners. He joined the firm in 2014. Mr. Atkin bringing to Vista extensive experience from the CEO-suite, as well as a background in developing talent, team building, organizational alignment, and a focus on process-driven management. He currently works with Vista portfolio companies DealerSocket, EagleView, Finastra, Greenway Health, Omnitracs, Solera, and STATS. Mr. Atkin was a President of the Vista Consulting Group ('VCG') from 2014 to 2017, where he helped the organization evolve and scale to support the growth in the Vista portfolio. Prior to this, Mr. Atkin served as the President of Sunquest Information Systems Inc. since October 11, 2007 and also served as its Chief Executive Officer from 2005 to 2014. He leads the overall strategy, customer relationships and operational performance of the business, with direct responsibility for product development, sales, service and support. Mr. Atkin served as a President of Hospital Systems Group, since December 7, 2005, where he oversaw and led all operations of the business. Mr. Atkin served as the Chief Executive Officer and the President of Datex-Ohmeda Inc. and Instrumentarium Corp. since 1998. He joined Ohmeda in 1994, and held a number of Senior Management Positions in the United Kingdom and the United States. Mr. Atkin worked for Gec Marconi in the United Kingdom. He came to Misys Healthcare Systems following seven years of Chief Executive Officer experience for two, multi-million-dollar global medical technology companies. Mr. Atkin was two years as the Chief Executive Officer of Washington-based Spacelabs Medical, focused on acute care and emergency department solutions. He has also served on the Boards of several technology organizations and is a Commissioner for CCHIT. Mr. Atkin holds a Bachelor of Science Honors Degree in Physics and Material Sciences from the University of Wales and a Master in Business Administration Degree from the University of London's Imperial College Business School.
