Mr. David John Witzgall, also known as Dave, has been Vice President and Treasurer of American Financial Group Inc., a parent company of Great American Insurance Company since May 25, 2005. Mr. Witzgall served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Great American Insurance Company since September 2008 and its subsidiary Property and Casualty Group since March 2005. He joined American Financial in 1976 and held a number of accounting and finance positions. He served as Vice President and Controller of publicly-held General Cable Corporation since 1993. He re-joined American Financial in 2001 and served as Vice President and Controller of Great American Insurance Company. Mr. Witzgall holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio and is a Certified Public Accountant.
