William J. Peters — CFO, Senior VP & Treasurer at Amphastar Pharmaceuticals

Mr. William J. Peters, also known as Bill, has been the Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President and Treasurer at Amphastar Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since April 2014. Mr. Peters has been the President of International Medication Systems, Limited at Amphastar Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since March 2016. He served as the Vice President of Finance at Hi-Tech Pharmacal Co., Inc. since June 6, 2004, Chief Financial Officer since June 6, 2004 until April 2014, Executive Vice President from August 2013 to April 2014 and served as its Vice President of Corporate Development from September 9, 2003 to May 2004. Mr. Peters assisted Hi-Tech Pharmacal Co., Inc. in evaluating and making acquisitions, arranging licensing agreements and analyzing strategic growth opportunities. Mr. Peters joined Hi-Tech Pharmacal Co., Inc. from Merck & Co., Inc., where he served as the Director, Financial Evaluations for Medco Health Solutions subsidiary of Merck & Co., Inc. During his seven-year career with Merck & Co., he also served as Manager of Treasury Planning and Analysis. He served as Manager of Corporate Financial Analysis and Pharmaceutical Economics at Merck & Co. from 1998 to 2001. Mr. Peters began his career in General Electric's Financial Management Program at its Aerospace division, where he later held positions in financial analysis and internal auditing. He earned his Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in 1996 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Bucknell University in 1989.
