Mr. Alec Machiels, J.D., MBA, is a Partner of Pegasus Capital Advisors, L.P. Mr. Machiels joined Pegasus Capital Advisors in 2002. He focuses on opportunities in the energy, commodities, marketing communications and healthcare industries. Mr. Machiels served as Vice President of Pegasus from June 2004 to May 2006 and served as its Associate from August 2002 to June 2004. He has over 17 years of private equity investing and investment banking experience. Previously, he began his career as a Financial Analyst in the Financial Services Group at Goldman Sachs International, London and Private Equity Group at Goldman, Sachs & Co., New York from July 1996 to June 1999. He founded Potentia Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and served as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from July 2001 to July 2002. Mr. Machiels also co-founded Potentia Pharmaceuticals and Revon Systems.
