Community Impact and Philanthropy

Sustainable urbanization is the main area for our group-wide community involvement strategies, since we are well positioned to address this challenge with our expertise on the fields of infrastructure, water, environment, buildings and urban planning. We use our knowledge to improve the quality of life in (small) neighbourhoods. We have a global partnership with UN-Habitat for example, the United Nations agency for human settlements, which is called the Shelter program. Shelter allows us to dedicate time, expertise and money to many local community involvement initiatives. We also engage actively in other organizations (NGO’s) on a global level (WBCSD) and on country-level (e.g. IUCN Leaders for Nature).
