Andrew T. Rippert — Chief Executive Officer of Global Mortgage Group - ACGL at Arch Capital Group Ltd.

Mr. Andrew T. Rippert has been Chief Executive Officer of Global Mortgage Group at Arch Capital Group Ltd. since January 2014. Mr. Rippert is responsible for the Global Mortgage Group at Arch, which includes a network of operations that provides mortgage insurance and reinsurance around the world. He has overseen Arch MI's transformation from a new entrant in the U.S. Mortgage Insurance market in 2014 to the industry leader, primarily through the 2017 acquisition of mortgage insurer United Guaranty Corporation from American International Group, Inc. His leadership was also instrumental in the development of reinsurance execution for GSE credit risk transfer transactions under Freddie Mac's Agency Credit Insurance Structure (ACIS) transactions. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Global Mortgage Insurance and Reinsurance at Arch Capital Group Ltd. since January 7, 2016. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Arch Mortgage Insurance from December 2011 to March 2014. Prior to December 2011, he served as senior executive of mortgage insurance at Arch Re (Bermuda). He joined Arch Insurance Company (Europe) Limited (Arch Insurance Europe) in September 2010 as a Senior Vice President. Mr. Rippert has served as Senior Vice President of Karen Clark & Company since March 2009. From 2001 to 2006, he held various positions at Radian Guaranty Inc., a subsidiary of Radian Group Inc. including senior vice president and managing director of the international mortgage insurance group. He served as Senior Vice President of International Mortgages at Radian Guaranty Inc. Mr. Rippert was responsible for leading Radian's effort to provide credit enhancement on mortgage transactions outside the U.S. He joined Radian in June 2001, as vice president of credit and risk analytics, responsible for developing credit standards on new products and risk assessment and modeling, from Deloitte & Touche, where he served three years as senior manager. Mr. Rippert has more than twenty years of insurance, capital markets and consulting experience and a track record for developing and delivering value-added, innovative solutions in U.S. and international markets. Prior to joining Karen Clark & Company, Mr. Rippert served as the President of Bunker Hill Insurance Company and Chief Underwriting Officer of Plymouth Rock Assurance Company. He worked as a Consultant to mortgage insurers and mortgage backed security investors. He has also worked in reinsurance as an actuary and underwriter. He serves as Director of the Opens Doors Foundation at MBA. He has been Director of Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) since October 22, 2017. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Mr. Rippert has an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated as a Palmer Scholar in the top 5% of his class and has B.S. in physics and mathematics from Drexel University, where he graduated with highest honors.
