Mr. Mark D. Lyons is the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President at Arch Specialty Insurance Company. Mr. Lyons has been the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Arch Worldwide Insurance Group of Arch Insurance Group Inc. since 2008. He served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Arch Insurance Group, Inc. since June 2006. He served as the Chief Actuary of Arch Insurance Group Inc., a subsidiary of Arch Capital Group Ltd., since August 2002 and as its Executive Vice President of group operations from August 2003 to June 2006. From 2001 to August 2002, he served as an Independent Consultant. From 1992 to 2001, he served as an Executive Vice President of Product Services at Zurich U.S. From 1987 to 1992, he served as a Vice President and Actuary at Berkshire Hathaway Insurance Group. He is also an associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He holds a B.S. from Elizabethtown College.
