Mr. Martin A. van den Brink has been the President and Chief Technology Officer at ASML Holding NV since July 1, 2013. Mr. van den Brink served as the Chief Product & Technology Officer and Executive Vice President of ASML Holding NV until July 1, 2013. He served as the Executive Vice President of Marketing and Technology of ASML Holding N.V. since 1999 and has been its Member of the Board of Management since July 1999. Before then, Mr. Van den Brink served as Vice President Technology since 1995. He joined ASML when it was founded in early 1984. He has held several positions in engineering and had prime responsibility for developing the PAS 5500 platform in the early 90's, which today represents the largest installed base at ASML's customers. He has been Vice Chairman of the Board of Management at ASML Holding NV and Member of Management Board since July 1999. He has earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from HTS Arnhem (HAN University), and a degree in Physics (1984) from the University of Twente, the Netherlands. In 2012, Mr. Van den Brink was awarded an honorary doctorate in physics by the University of Amsterdam and in 2014 he was made a Knight of the Order of the Dutch Lion (Orde van de Nederlandse Leeuw).
