Mr. Richard J. Dorris, also known as Rick, has been the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Astec Industries, Inc. since January 1, 2014. Mr. Dorris served as Group Vice President of Energy at Astec Industries, Inc. since August 22, 2012 until December 2013. Mr. Dorris served as the President of Heatec, Inc., a subsidiary of Astec Industries, Inc. since April 2004 until January 1, 2014. From 1999 to 2004, he served as a National Accounts Manager, Project Manager and Director of Projects for Astec, Inc. Prior to joining Astec, Inc. he served as the President of Esstee Manufacturing Company from 1990 to 1999 and served as Sales Engineer from 1984 to 1990. Mr. Dorris holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee.
