Jeffrey D. Carlson — Senior Vice President of Flight Operations at Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings

Mr. Jeffrey D. Carlson, also known as Jeff, has been Senior Vice President Flight Operations at Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. since September 2008. Mr. Carlson has been Vice President of Flight Operations at Polar Air Cargo Worldwide, Inc. He served as a Vice President of Flight Operations at Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings Inc. since September 2008. Mr. Carlson is responsible for all of flight operations, including hiring, training, operations control, flight dispatch and crew scheduling at both Atlas Air and Polar Air Cargo Worldwide. He served as Director of Operations at Spirit Airlines, Inc. since January 2006. He type-rated on the Airbus equipment that Spirit flies, manages all aspects of flight operations including pilot and flight attendant daily operations at training. As Director of Operations, Mr. Carlson oversaw Spirit's relationship with the FAA and be the point of contact for regulatory compliance. He came to Spirit from Northwest Airlines where he most recently held the position of Captain/Check Pilot on an Airbus A330. He also held various management positions including Vice President of Flight Operations, Managing Director and Chief Pilot and Managing Director, Flight Procedures, Training and Standards. Mr. Carlson is a recipient of the Embry Riddle University's Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award and has a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry Riddle University.
