Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
market matching for salary and comp
Salary and equity grants are not competitive to local markets. Women and minorities get paid significantly less. There is a pay gap of $40,000 difference between a white male and me for the exact same role, team, tenure and industry experience.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Some people are great, others are overly concerned with looking as though they are the best among their peers so they can climb the ladder as quickly as they can. Makes honest collaboration difficult.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Slow pace of development due to Jira having a massive backend Java codebase. Decomposition into microservices should help with this but it will take many years to come to achieve it.

People at Atlassian say they care about the customer, but most of them really don't. Especially in the product and engineering orgs.
