Steve K. Arora — Chief Executive Officer of AXIS Re at Axis Capital Holdings Limited

Mr. Steve K. Arora is a Chief Executive Officer of AXIS Re since January 2018. Mr. Arora served as Head of Casualty Underwriting - Reinsurance at Swiss Re Ltd since July 01, 2016 until November 20, 2017. He served as the Japan Head at Swiss Re Ltd since 2013 until July 1, 2016. Mr. Arora has been with Swiss Re for 10 years having joined in 2006. He has held a variety of roles (moving from back to front) including functions such as finance, risk management, underwriting, product development, sales and general management. He has a broad financial services background (private equity, consumer lending, aircraft leasing and reinsurance), along with extensive professional international experience (international assignments in Munich, London, Zurich and Tokyo). In 2013 he became Head of Swiss Re Japan and Executive Committee Member of the Foreign Non-Life Insurance Association of Japan, Inc. (FNLIA). Mr. Arora graduated from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA in 1999 with a degree in Economics. He is also a graduate of the GE Capital Financial Management Program (FMP), Swiss Re Group Management Development Program, STARS Symposium for Leaders of the Next Generation and was appointed to the World Economic Forum Young Global Leader class of 2015.
