Executive Bio
Mr. Darrel Hackett serves as the President of BMO Private Bank U.S. at BMO Harris Bank National Association. Mr. Hackett has been the President of BMO Private Bank at Bank of Montreal since September 2014. In this role, Mr. Hackett is responsible for the performance, strategy and delivery of BMO Financial Group's personal wealth management businesses throughout the United States. He also be responsible for the development of new products and solutions for all business segments within BMO Private Bank. Mr. Hackett has served in a variety of Retail, Commercial and Wealth leadership roles since joining BMO in 2004. He served as Senior Vice President and Head of North American Integrated Channels; in this role, he led banking distribution via direct customer channels, held accountability for the bank's digital channels and physical distribution, and was responsible for developing a truly distinctive multi-channel customer experience. He has also led BMO Harris Bank's Business Banking operations in the U.S. and served as a Regional President for the Retail operation in Chicago. In his initial role at BMO, he served as Vice President, Acquisition, Integration and Alignment. Mr. Hackett was a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company in Chicago. He has also held a variety of management roles at General Electric Company. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Adler Planetarium and on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for the Chicago Children's Museum. He is also a member of the Economic Club of Chicago, and was appointed by Mayor Rahm Emanuel to the Chicago Cook Workforce Investment Committee. Mr. Hackett received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and his M.B.A. from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business.
