Executive Bio

Mr. Brian Cashman serves as Managing Director at Berkeley Research Group, LLC. Mr. Cashman served as a Managing Director of Corporate Finance at FTI Consulting, Inc. Mr. Cashman has represented various constituents as a financial advisor in restructurings, workouts and bankruptcy proceedings for private and public companies. He was the onsite manager for the $12 billion Circuit City bankruptcy. Mr. Cashman has more than 20 years of business experience across a range of industries, including retail, manufacturing, distribution, software and supply chain management. He is experienced in analyzing and implementing strategic and operational change, including refinement of business plans and redeployment of capital to address changing industry conditions, as well as stabilizing and fixing non-core operations through plant, product and customer rationalization initiatives. Mr. Cashman has developed both weekly and monthly detailed cash flow models for his clients. He has also developed store models to assist management in determining optimum store footprint as well as provided liquidity and capital structure assessment, debt and equity restructuring advice and identification of reorganization alternatives. His professional and business experience at FTI Consulting includes Circuit City, Levitz Furniture, Kirkland's, Zomax, and Shane Co. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Cashman served in various financial management roles at retailers, software companies and a supply chain management company. Mr. Cashman was part of the management team at Modus Media International, which at the time was a $600 million global provider of supply chain management services located in over 20 locations in 13 different countries. He held the role of corporate controller during its business turnaround, which was awarded the International Turnaround of the Year by the Turnaround Management Association at its 2002 annual convention. He is certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors and the Turnaround Management Association. Mr. Cashman holds an M.B.A. from Babson College and a B.S. in management with a concentration in accounting from Boston College.
