Mr. Mark Weinsten serves as Managing Director at Berkeley Research Group LLC. Mr. Weinsten served as Senior Managing Director of Corporate Finance Practice at FTI Consulting Inc. from October 26, 2006 to 2016. Mr. Weinsten served as Chief Executive Officer of The Manischewitz Company, Inc. until April 2, 2015. He has assisted boards of directors, equity sponsors and management of distressed companies and their creditors constituencies in many industries, including retail; consumer products; financial institutions; manufacturing; professional services; telecommunications; high technology and gaming. He has developed and analyzed business plans and restructuring strategies; evaluated and negotiated joint ventures; mergers; acquisitions and debt restructurings; valued companies and business units; prepared viability studies; formulated cash flows and budgets; performed liquidation analyses and functioned in interim management positions including roles as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer. He has participated in several engagements designed to assist clients in creating and implementing business strategies and operational improvements. Mr. Weinsten has performed analyses related to capital budgeting decisions, including automation implementation, facilities improvement and mergers and acquisitions. He has conducted operations and organization reviews to identify areas for clients to reduce costs and enhance productivity. In addition, he has developed business plans and financial projections to provide guidelines and targets for client growth and development. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Weinsten was a Partner with the U.S. division of PricewaterhouseCoopers' Business Recovery Services practice. Mr. Weinsten joined the Management Consulting department of Grant Thornton, where he focused on business planning and raising capital for middle market companies as well as representing large multinational corporations in responding to antidumping charges raised by the U.S. Department of Commerce. Mr. Weinsten worked in the engineering and operations groups for Winfield Manufacturing, a major supplier of uniforms, chemical protective suits and equipage items to the U.S. military and NATO. He is a Member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Turnaround Management Association. Mr. Weinsten is an Adjunct Professor at Babson College's Olin School of Business, teaching 'Turnaround Finance and Management' to M.B.A. classes. Additionally, Mr. Weinsten is a Frequent Lecturer at many conferences and educational institutions, delivering presentations on various topics, including 'Creating Turnaround Success From Within,' Harvard Business School Turnaround Conference, 2009, 'Bankruptcy Remote Lending, Will It Survive the Wall Street Shakeout,' ABI Western Leadership Conference, 'Use of Financial Professionals,' ABI Northeast Conference, 'How M&A Is Used to Implement Turnaround Strategies,' Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, 'Valuing Distressed Businesses,' Massachusetts Bar Association, 'Lease Negotiation Strategies, How to Deal with Troubled/Bankrupt Tenants,' Boston RE Board and 'Restructuring Opportunities in the Paging Industry,' PCIA Conference. Mr. Weinsten holds an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Economics from Carnegie-Mellon University.
