Mr. Rajeev R. Bhattacharya is Principal of Berkeley Research Group, LLC. Mr. Bhattacharya has over a dozen years' experience in providing advice to clients on economics and finance. He has worked as testifying expert on a number of matters, including damages in a class action alleging fraudulent product information, price-impact of alleged vertical foreclosure, and harm to investors under allegations of securities manipulation. As a consulting expert in applied microeconomics, he has worked on complex commercial disputes, market definition, alleged monopolization, impact of entry, and other matters. He has helped identify appropriate measures of excessive fees and best execution by mutual funds, and has valued firms for potential acquisitions and under allegations of fraudulent conveyance and insolvency. He has managed teams of up to thirty people, and has coordinated analyses of multiple terabytes of data for individual projects. He served as a Principal of Finance Scholars Group since 2009. Mr. Bhattacharya is a professor of economics and finance, and coordinator of strategy and consulting, at the Olin Business School, Washington University in St. Louis. He has over a decade of experience in consulting on financial economics and applied microeconomics, primarily in litigation contexts. Mr. Bhattacharya was a principal in the finance practice at Law & Economics Consulting Group (LECG), and has worked on market efficiency, fraud on the market, impact of trades, compliance, underwriting process for IPOs, valuation of firms and portfolios, best execution and excessive fees for mutual funds, market definition, and other topics. He was an assistant professor at the Australian Graduate School of Management, The University of New South Wales, Sydney, where Mr. Bhattacharya taught applied microeconomics and game theory. His academic research has been published in the Academy of Management Review and Proceedings of the Econometric Society, including a paper that has 267 citations in Google Scholar. He has served as referee for a number of books and journals, and is a member of American Economic Association, American Finance Association, Econometric Society, and American Bar Association. Mr. Bhattacharya holds a Ph.D., in economics from University of Rochester and an M.A. in economics from University of Rochester and a B.Stat. from Indian Statistical Institute of Calcutta.
