Daniel M. LaVecchia — Executive MD of North America Operations & Global Head of FX Products at BGC Partners

Mr. Daniel M. LaVecchia serves as Executive Managing Director of North America and Global Head of FX Products at BGC Partners, Inc. Mr. LaVecchia also serves as Executive Managing Director of North America at BGC Partners, L.P. Mr. LaVecchia oversees all of BGC's operations in North America and global foreign exchange products broking. Mr. LaVecchia is also responsible for leading the expansion of BGC as a global wholesale fixed-income, interest rate, foreign exchange and derivative brokerage firm. He served as the President of North America at BGC Partners, L.P. He worked for Cantor Fitzgerald for the past 10 years. He served as Executive Managing Director and Director U.S. Operations for eSpeed, Inc. Mr. LaVecchia has worked for Cantor Fitzgerald and its related businesses for over 19 years, including as Executive Managing Director for Cantor's international operations. Prior to this he was responsible for Cantor Fitzgerald's derivative and foreign exchange businesses in Europe and Asia and served as the liaison between Cantor Fitzgerald and eSpeed. He headed up the transition team moving trading from voice-brokerage to fully electronic trading. He began his career at Cantor Fitzgerald in the New York office, where he served as Managing Director and head of global derivatives. He serves as the Co-Chair of the walk-a-thon with Woody Johnson. He serves as a Director of Alliance For Lupus Research, Inc. Mr. LaVecchia is a supporter of numerous local charities in New York, including the Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation. Mr. LaVecchia supports the Boomer Esiason Foundation and is also associated with the Joe Torre's Safe at Home Foundation.
