Sean A. Windeatt — Chief Operating Officer at BGC Partners

Mr. Sean A. Windeatt has been the Chief Operating Officer of BGC Partners, Inc. (formerly eSpeed Inc.) since January 1, 2009. Mr. Windeatt serves as Chief Operating Officer of BGC Brokers L.P. Mr. Windeatt is responsible for BGC's global front office business operations. Mr. Windeatt has been Executive Managing Director and Vice President of BGC Partners L.P. since 2007. He served as the Executive Managing Director and Vice President of BGC Partners Inc. since 2007 and was responsible for BGC's global front office business operations. Mr. Windeatt also served as a Business Manager and member of the Finance department of Cantor Fitzgerald International from 1997 to 2003. Mr. Windeatt has over 10 years of experience in financial markets and has been responsible for business management at BGC since 2001. He has been a key member of the management team for Europe and Asia in helping to rapidly grow the business organically and through acquisition and oversees global front office business operations. He started his career in the financial markets at United Assurance which was followed by a move to Cantor Fitzgerald in 1997, where he held various positions in financial management. After the events of September 11, 2001, he was transferred to the front office at Cantor Fitzgerald and engaged in the process of helping to rebuild the business. He served as a Director of Cantor Fitzgerald International from 2004 to 2007. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the Miami University of Ohio.
