John R. Beaver — Senior VP & CFO at Biolase

Mr. John R. Beaver has been Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of BIOLASE, Inc. since October 01, 2017. Mr. Beaver served as the Chief Financial Officer of Silicor Materials, Inc. (formerly Calisolar, Inc.) from 2015 to 2017 and previously from 2009 to 2013. He has proven leadership and technical experience in finance and business management in both public and private companies. He served as Chief Financial Officer of Modumetal, Inc. from 2013 to 2015. At Modumetal, he led efforts to raise more than $50 million in debt and equity to fund the transition from start-up to commercial production. Mr. Beaver served as the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Finance of Sterling Chemicals, Inc. from May 4, 2007 to October 31, 2009 and serves as its Principal Accounting Officer. He served as a Vice President and Controller of Sterling Chemicals, Inc. since January 2003 and March 2001 respectively. Prior to Sterling Chemicals Inc., Mr. Beaver served as a Vice President and Corporate Controller of Pioneer Companies Inc., from 1997 to December 2000 and Corporate Controller of Borden Chemicals and Plastics from 1995 to 1997. Previously, Mr. Beaver held several financial management positions with Sterling and Monsanto Company. He served as a Director of Silicor Materials Inc. since 2013 to 2015. He is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Beaver holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.
