Mr. Brian Wm. Higgins is a Partner at Blank Rome LLP. Mr. Higgins is an intellectual property attorney whose law practice focuses on solving complex IP problems for businesses and individuals. His practice involves procuring patents and trademarks, preparing opinions, evaluating IP assets in mergers and acquisitions, and managing patent litigation matters. He has extensive experience counseling clients regarding the IP aspects of pharmaceutical drugs, medical devices, applied environmental technologies, force/torque/weight transducers, Internet-based solutions, and business methods, among other technologies. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Higgins worked as an engineer and consultant for the U.S. Army and two government contractors. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Maryland. Mr. Higgins holds a BS from Arizona State University in 1989, MS from Johns Hopkins University in 1997 and JD from University of Maryland School of Law in 2001.
