Richard J. Adago serves as Partner of National Matrimonial and Family Law Practice at Blank Rome LLP. Mr. Adago advises high-end clients on prenuptial and post-nuptial agreements, divorce, mediation, property distribution, paternity, visitation rights, and real estate, trusts and estates and tax issues relating to matrimonial matters. Mr. Adago represents clients before the matrimonial and family court judges in New York City, Brooklyn, Westchester, and Nassau Counties. He participates in trials and depositions, and engages in substantial discovery and motion practice. He has also made contributions to the drafting of a number of briefs submitted to the Appellate Division, First and Second Departments, and the Court of Appeals. Mr. Adago is a member of the New York County Lawyers Association. Mr. Adago graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law with JD in June of 1987, and immediately received an appointment as an assistant district attorney with the New York County District Attorney's Office, where he prosecuted misdemeanor and felony-level criminal matters until leaving to practice matrimonial law in 1993. He holds BA from State University of New York at Oswego in 1978.
