Executive Bio
Mr. John Francis Powers serves as an Executive Vice President of New York Region at Boston Properties Inc. Mr. Powers served as Senior Vice President and Regional Manager of New York Office at Boston Properties Inc. since January 2, 2014. He is an industry veteran with more than 25 years of commercial real estate experience. He serves as Chairman of the New York Tri-State region for CBRE, Inc. where he contributes to the strategic direction of CBRE's Tri-State operations, while continuing to work directly with clients. Over his career he has developed many occupancy strategies for large corporate users, advised clients on numerous ground up developments and brokered millions of square feet of transactions. He received a BA in Mathematics from St. Anselm College in 1968, an MA in Economics from the University of Massachusetts in 1974 and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts in 1978. He also studied international economics at the Graduate Institute of International Studies, Geneva.
