Mr. Chad Whalen, Esq., has been the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Calgon Carbon Corporation since December 1, 2015. Mr. Whalen served as Senior Vice President of Government Relations of RTI International Metals, Inc. from April 2013 to 2015. Mr. Whalen served as General Counsel of RTI International Metals, Inc., from February 19, 2007 to April 2013 and served as its Secretary from February 2007 to April 2013. Mr. Whalen served as Senior Vice President of RTI International Metals, Inc. Since 1999, he was an Attorney in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, office of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC. Over several years, he provided advice and counsel to RTI in various matters of Corporate Governance and Securities Law Compliance, as well as legal support on Canadian acquisition in 2004. He concentrated on representing public companies in the areas of Corporate Finance, Corporate Governance and was a Member of the steering committee of the Ingersoll & Rooney'ss SEC Practice Group and a Member of its Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group. He is a member of the American Bar Association's Federal Regulation of Securities and Negotiated Acquisitions subcommittees, the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals and the Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations. He has a Bachelor's Degree from Grove City College and received Juris Doctor from Penn State Dickinson School of Law.
