Arthur Chien — Chief Strategy Officer, Senior Vice President and President of Energy Business at Canadian Solar

Mr. Arthur Chien has been Senior Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer and President of Energy Group at Canadian Solar Inc. since 2015 and served as its Special Advisor since October 11, 2010. Mr. Chien served as a Secretary of Canadian Solar Inc. from June 7, 2008 to May 2009 and served as its Vice President of Finance from September 25, 2007 to June 2008. He served as Managing Director of Beijing Yinke Investment Consulting Co. Ltd. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of Canadian Solar Inc. from June 7, 2008 to October 11, 2010 and its Compliance Officer since November 2009. Mr. Chien served as Chief Financial Officer of China Grand Enterprises Inc. for 5 years. Mr. Chien also served in the finance, investment and management positions in several companies in China, Canada and Belgium. He served as an Assistant Financial Controller of the steel cord division of Bekaert Group in Belgium since 1995. Mr. Chien served as Chief Financial Officer of the Chinese operations of NV Bekaert SA since 1996. Mr. Chien has been Director of Canadian Solar Inc. since June 2008. He served as Independent Director of Canadian Solar Inc. from December 2005 to September 25, 2007. He also served as Director of Canadian Solar Inc. since June 7, 2008. Mr. Chien graduated from University of Science and Technology of China with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1982. He also obtained a Master's degree in Economics from University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, Canada in 1989.
